Job Description:

Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations, which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment. Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents. Determnes and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Essential Functions:

Ability to read and understand description of manufacture (DM, DOM) for operations assembly instruction.
Ability to handle small parts with tweezers and/or special tools.
Operate various types of assembly equipment (assembly machines, press staks, air screw drivers, etc.) with proper training.
Visually inspect components and subassemblies for obvious defects prior to, during, and after being assembled.
Check completed assemblies for conformance with quality standards and DMs.
Maintain assembly/quality records paperwork as required.

Job Description:

Quality Assurance Inspectors are responsible for performing visual inspection of purchased materials using manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications and workmanship standards to approve or reject units. The Quality Assurance Inspector will also verify vendor supplied documentation including packing lists, OEM/OCM, Date/Lot Codes, certificates of conformance, First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), test data and other required deliverables. The Quality Assurance Inspector ensures delivered materials meet company, industry and customer standards.

Essential Functions:

Inspection of products and their associated documents in accordance with L3Harris Standards, engineering requirements, customer specifications, work instructions, inspection plans, and other requirements as needed.
Ensure that products and services conform to established company standards.
Recommend opportunities for continuous improvement of the processes and products.
Understand and apply the elements of corrective and preventive actions, including root cause analysis.
Provide training and mentor new inspectors.
Able to work independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. May act as a facilitator and coordinate work efforts as directed by leadership.
Provide feedback on Inspection Control Plans for MN's worked in area.
Read, interpret and inspect related inspection plans, drawings, specifications, workmanship standards and other documents.
Learn and utilize established QMS tools including SAP ECC, SAP ME.
Identify nonconforming coditions and document the nonconformance, in writing, in a quality notification.
Move items up to 32 lbs.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associate's Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
J-STD-001 experience.
Prior manufacturing experience.
Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:

Experience reading blueprints.
Experience using magnification instruments.
