Overview

Assembly B / Manufacturing Visual Inspection, 2nd Shift (FOS) role at L3Harris Technologies in Cincinnati, OH. This position involves performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations and visual inspections as part of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations, including skilled hand work or use of automated production equipment.
• Read and interpret a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents.
• Determine and/or follow methods and sequence of operations for wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units.
• Set up and adjust processes to meet blueprint tolerances.
• Read and understand descriptions of manufacture (DM, DOM) for operations assembly instructions.
• Handle small parts with tweezers and/or special tools.
• Operate assembly equipment (assembly machines, press racks, air screwdrivers, etc.) with proper training.
• Visually inspect components and subassemblies for defects before, during, and after assembly.
• Check completed assemblies for conformance with quality standards and DM specifications.
• Maintain assembly/quality records as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/associate's degree with 0 to 2 years of related experience.
• J-STD-001 experience.
• Prior manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience reading blueprints.
• Experience using magnification instruments.
