Overview
As a designer, you ask yourself “How can I make this better?” You have a masterful knowledge of typography for web and print platforms. Adobe Creative Cloud is your BFF and memories of making the logo bigger give you migraines. You are a fantastic teammate and an even better employee. Composition is second nature. Responsibilities
Bring complex topics to life by creating graphics and charts that synthesize information from multiple sources, making intricate issues clear and engaging.
Collaborate with teammates to produce powerful, polished products that tell compelling stories through timely reports, insightful assessments, and sleek visuals.
Ensure work shines in multiple formats, including print and digital, whether it’s a deep-dive study or an executive briefing.
Apply critical thinking and visual problem solving to illustrate complex data relationships.
Qualifications
You have a degree in graphic design or a similar field and 3 or more years of experience. (4 more years of experience may be substituted for a degree)
You are fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite tools, primarily InDesign and Illustrator
You have a keen sense of typography, layout, and color with a hunger for innovation
Your design eye is refined enough to adapt your style to any challenge
You can design for multiple platforms, including print and web
You are a strong communicator with the ability to provide and receive constructive criticism and articulate design concepts directly to clients
You can communicate complex issues clearly both verbally and non-verbally
You know how to hit deadlines and get the job done
Location and Salary Work location is on-site in Washington, DC.
Salary range provided during the selection process. Exact pay will be determined based on factors such as years of experience, contract requirements, billable vs. non-billable work, position urgency/demand, and location/telework options.
