Warehouse Customer Service Representative

The Warehouse Customer Service Representative is a customer-facing role within the warehouse, responsible for handling customer inquiries, coordinating order fulfillment, and ensuring smooth logistics operations. This position bridges warehouse operations with customer service, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and satisfaction. The WCSR has an in-depth knowledge of customer products, procedures, and processes. This position will include duties of expeditor and goods receipt and dock coordination. Duties and responsibilities are subject to change. The Warehouse Customer Service Representative performs the following tasks: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding order status, shipments, and inventory availability. Process orders, track shipments, and coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely deliveries. Address and resolve customer concerns related to shipping errors, damages, or delays. Work closely with logistics, shipping, and inventory teams to maintain accurate records. Generate reports on order accuracy, shipping performance, and customer complaints. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and warehouse procedures. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools. Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance customer service and operational efficiency. Locating hot parts Other duties as assigned Knowledge, skills, and abilities required: Experience in customer service, logistics, or warehouse operations. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with inventory management and shipping procedures. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management software. Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, pick tickets, customer orders, procedure manuals, and requisitions. Ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to interpret technical documents. Ability to work in a team environment. Education and/or experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three years or more related experience in customer service, preferably 3rd party logistics or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certifications, licenses, registrations: Possess or have ability to become forklift certified. Valid Driver's License or equivalent. Language skills: Ability to read and interpret documents, including protocols, standard operating procedures, customer orders, and pick tickets. Reasoning ability: Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. For the most part ambient room temperatures, lighting, and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
