Town Management is a growing and locally owned licensed Common Interest Community (CIC) Management Company located in Williamsburg, VA. We manage residential and commercial property owners’ associations, including condominiums and HOAs, and other buildings and facilities in the greater Williamsburg, James City County, York County, and Newport News area. Town Management offers a comprehensive suite of services tailored to meet the needs of condominium and property owners’ associations.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site (not remote) position. The Community Manager will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of association management, including working with the association board, coordinating with contractors, overseeing budgets, addressing board concerns, reviewing invoices and contracts, and helping the board and association operate efficiently and effectively. Each day is a little different with about 65% of time spent in the office and the remainder on-site at various nearby associations.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a small team environment.
  • Good communication skills with people from a wide variety of backgrounds – telephone, email, letters, presentations, etc.
  • Good organizational skills – manage multiple tasks responsibly.
  • Good office computer skills – Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Driver's License, access to car (transportation), and US Work authorization, required.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively in an office environment and independently outside the office with contractors, boards, etc.

Experience with or knowledge about the following is helpful but not required:

  • residential or commercial property management
  • working with boards or groups of decision makers
  • preparing agenda and taking minutes for meetings
  • supervising contractors working on equipment, facilities, landscaping, etc.
  • budgeting and experience with financial management software
