This role is all about building a bold, playful, and engaging presence that makes Misfits the go-to brand across TikTok, Instagram, and beyond. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you’ll play a key role in shaping a fast-growing brand that’s redefining the protein category — while enjoying our crave-worthy products along the way.
This role is NYC-based with the expectation to work 2-3 days/week in person.
What You’ll Do
Social Media Management
- Own Misfits’ organic social channels from strategy to execution.
- Keep our content calendar fresh, fun, and always on-brand.
- Be the first to jump on a trend, or start one yourself.
Community Management
- Nourish and grow the Misfits online community with inbound and outbound interactions.
- Monitor and engage with comments, messages, and inquiries.
- Build relationships with influencers, partners, and brand advocates.
Content Creation
- Concept, shoot, edit, and publish content that feels native to each platform.
- Experiment with new formats and creative storytelling approaches to boost engagement.
- Collaborate with design, marketing, and sales teams on campaign calendars and content needs.
Influencer Marketing
- Partner with the Brand Manager on both paid and organic influencer strategies.
- Help identify and manage influencer relationships that expand Misfits’ reach.
- Brainstorm creative ways to collaborate with creators and amplify their content on our channels.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track what’s working (and what’s not) to keep us ahead of the game.
- Monitor and report on KPIs such as engagement, reach, conversions, and community growth.
- Share wins and learnings with internal team to fuel smarter content.
What You Bring
- 2–4 years of direct social media management experience (brand or agency).
- A proven track record of growing and engaging brand channels.
- Deep knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms.
- Strong copywriting and storytelling skills (creativity encouraged).
- Fluency with tools like CapCut, Canva, Adobe Suite, and platform-native editors.
- Experience with social analytics and reporting tools.
- Must be comfortable being on camera and creating personality-driven content.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
