Location: NYC (Hybrid)

Salary: $70-$80k

About the Role

At Misfits, we believe protein should taste like candy, not compromise. We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who’s obsessed with trends, thrives on creativity, and knows how to stop the scroll. This role is all about building a bold, playful, and engaging presence that makes Misfits the go-to brand across TikTok, Instagram, and beyond. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you’ll play a key role in shaping a fast-growing brand that’s redefining the protein category — while enjoying our crave-worthy products along the way.

This role is NYC-based with the expectation to work 2-3 days/week in person.

What You’ll Do

Social Media Management

  • Own Misfits’ organic social channels from strategy to execution.
  • Keep our content calendar fresh, fun, and always on-brand.
  • Be the first to jump on a trend, or start one yourself.

Community Management

  • Nourish and grow the Misfits online community with inbound and outbound interactions.
  • Monitor and engage with comments, messages, and inquiries.
  • Build relationships with influencers, partners, and brand advocates.

Content Creation

  • Concept, shoot, edit, and publish content that feels native to each platform.
  • Experiment with new formats and creative storytelling approaches to boost engagement.
  • Collaborate with design, marketing, and sales teams on campaign calendars and content needs.

Influencer Marketing

  • Partner with the Brand Manager on both paid and organic influencer strategies.
  • Help identify and manage influencer relationships that expand Misfits’ reach.
  • Brainstorm creative ways to collaborate with creators and amplify their content on our channels.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track what’s working (and what’s not) to keep us ahead of the game.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs such as engagement, reach, conversions, and community growth.
  • Share wins and learnings with internal team to fuel smarter content.

What You Bring

  • 2–4 years of direct social media management experience (brand or agency).
  • A proven track record of growing and engaging brand channels.
  • Deep knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms.
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills (creativity encouraged).
  • Fluency with tools like CapCut, Canva, Adobe Suite, and platform-native editors.
  • Experience with social analytics and reporting tools.
  • Must be comfortable being on camera and creating personality-driven content.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
