At Misfits, we believe protein should taste like candy, not compromise. We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who’s obsessed with trends, thrives on creativity, and knows how to stop the scroll. This role is all about building a bold, playful, and engaging presence that makes Misfits the go-to brand across TikTok, Instagram, and beyond. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you’ll play a key role in shaping a fast-growing brand that’s redefining the protein category — while enjoying our crave-worthy products along the way.

This role is NYC-based with the expectation to work 2-3 days/week in person.

Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management: Own Misfits’ organic social channels from strategy to execution. Keep our content calendar fresh, fun, and always on-brand. Be the first to jump on a trend, or start one yourself.
  • Community Management: Nourish and grow the Misfits online community with inbound and outbound interactions. Monitor and engage with comments, messages, and inquiries. Build relationships with influencers, partners, and brand advocates.
  • Content Creation: Concept, shoot, edit, and publish content that feels native to each platform. Experiment with new formats and creative storytelling approaches to boost engagement. Collaborate with design, marketing, and sales teams on campaign calendars and content needs.
  • Influencer Marketing: Partner with the Brand Manager on both paid and organic influencer strategies. Help identify and manage influencer relationships that expand Misfits’ reach. Brainstorm creative ways to collaborate with creators and amplify their content on our channels.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track what’s working (and what’s not) to keep us ahead of the game. Monitor and report on KPIs such as engagement, reach, conversions, and community growth. Share wins and learnings with internal team to fuel smarter content.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of direct social media management experience (brand or agency).
  • A proven track record of growing and engaging brand channels.
  • Deep knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms.
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills (creativity encouraged).
  • Fluency with tools like CapCut, Canva, Adobe Suite, and platform-native editors.
  • Experience with social analytics and reporting tools.
  • Must be comfortable being on camera and creating personality-driven content.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
