Overview
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - UI Health Care Bettendorf Dermatology Clinic 100% (40 hours per week). This position supports a team-based care approach where you’ll spend more time with patients and assist with physician-support and administrative duties to facilitate clinic flow. The role involves accurate documentation of events and decision-making in medical records. Our team provides care for families across generations, from birth onward.
Our LPNs provide full medical and surgical services in dermatology, from general dermatology care to specialty services, using the latest techniques to treat skin conditions. We work to prevent skin cancer, infections, and aging effects from sun exposure, and offer cosmetic treatments such as chemical peels, Botox injections, dermal fillers, and removal of unwanted hair and tattoos. This position will primarily support our Dermatology Clinics but may float to other locations or specialties, including Pediatrics and/or Specialty/Outreach Clinics as needed.

Percent of Time: 100% (40 hours per week). Schedule: Variable hours Monday–Friday 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM; no weekends, no on-call, and no holidays. Location: Bettendorf, IA (and surrounding clinics based on clinical need). Salary: $44,557.92 - $66,377.52 (based on experience).

Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
- Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic programs for patients.
- In less complex situations, may supervise assigned nursing personnel; in more complex situations, acts as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
Qualifications
- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible for required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support provider.
Special Qualifications / Licenses
- Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards
- Availability to provide support to other clinical locations as needed
Desirable Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months ambulatory experience.
- Previous EPIC experience.
- Demonstrated experience fostering a welcoming and respectful work/academic environment.
