Licensed Practical Nurse - UI Health Care Solon Clinic 50% (With Benefits)
The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) is seeking a patient centered 100 % (40 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at our UICC Solon Clinic . This position will mainly support our Family Medicine Clinics but could float to other patient specialties/clinic locations including but not limited to: Pediatrics and/or Specialty/Outreach Clinics.

We provide care for pregnancy, baby wellness, vaccinations, school and athletic physicals, acute visits, annual check-ups, mental health, on-site laboratory services, and more. When a patient needs specialty care, our family medicine provider connects them with the appropriate UI Health Care specialist, ensuring a seamless experience by sharing your medical records.

Duties to include:
- Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
- Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
- In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
- Current valid driver’s license and the ability to meet the University Driving Policy Standards

Percent of Time:100% (40 hours per week)
Schedule: Tuesday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Thursday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, and Friday 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM. No Mondays or Wednesdays. No weekends, on call time, or holidays required.
Location: Solon, IA. (or surround clinics based on clinical need or hours)
Salary: $44,557.92 - $66,377.52 (based on years of experience)
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support provider
Special Qualification/License:
- Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.
- Demonstrated excellent written/verbal communication.
Highly Desired Requirements
- Ability to demonstrate teamwork, collaboration, and autonomy in all aspects of the role
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous EPIC experience.
- Minimum 6 months ambulatory experience.
- Previous immunization and phlebotomy experience
Staff may be required to receive a passing score on work samples to be considered for this position
