Social Media & Content Coordinator
role at
MPWR Coaching
MPWR Coaching helps leaders and organizations thrive under pressure. Through our Leadership Operating System, courses, coaching, and podcast, we equip leaders with tools to build trust, clarity, and confidence. We’re expanding our online presence and are looking for a hands-on
Social Media & Content Coordinator
to join our team.
Overview The Role: We’re seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and proactive
Social Media & Content Coordinator
based in San Diego. This person will work closely with MPWR’s Content Director to
develop quarterly and monthly content plans
and then own the day-to-day execution across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
You’ll be responsible not only for managing the content calendar but also for
tracking social media trends
and identifying ways MPWR can intersect with cultural conversations to amplify our voice. If you also have PR or media outreach experience (particularly pitching stories or podcast appearances), that’s a huge plus.
What You’ll Do
Content Creation & Publishing
Produce, edit, and publish posts across platforms (LinkedIn, IG, FB, YouTube Shorts).
Turn podcast clips, leadership insights, and events into polished, branded social content.
Write captions tailored to each platform (professional for LinkedIn, conversational for IG, approachable for FB, SEO-friendly for YouTube).
Design graphics, carousels, and reels using Canva or Adobe tools.
Scheduling & Calendar Management
Collaborate with Content Director to build quarterly and monthly content calendars.
Schedule and publish content with a two-week buffer using Buffer or a similar tool.
Coordinate posting around live events, launches, and podcast episodes.
Stories, UGC & Trendspotting
Prompt Eric for quick video clips and transform them into polished Instagram Stories.
Capture and edit UGC-style content (events, workshops, behind-the-scenes moments).
Monitor social trends and propose creative ways for MPWR to join or leverage them.
Community Engagement
Daily monitor and respond to comments, DMs, and mentions across platforms daily.
Proactively engage with relevant accounts, hashtags, and leadership conversations to increase visibility.
Analytics & Reporting
Track performance across all platforms and deliver a monthly report with key insights (growth, reach, engagement, top content).
Recommend adjustments based on data and emerging trends.
Bonus (PR Focus, if applicable)
Pitch MPWR stories and leadership insights to relevant media outlets.
Secure podcast guest opportunities for Eric and MPWR leadership.
Build media lists and relationships in the San Diego/SoCal business and leadership communities.
What We’re Looking For
2–4 years of experience in social media coordination, content marketing, or digital communications.
Strong writing and editing skills — able to match tone across different platforms.
Experience creating and editing short-form video (IG Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok-style).
Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe suite).
Organized, proactive, and able to manage deadlines across multiple platforms.
Bonus: PR/media outreach experience (news and podcast pitching).
Details
Location: San Diego, CA (hybrid — mostly remote, occasional in-person for events/content capture).
Hours: 15-20 hours/week
Compensation: $25/hr
