We’re seeking a Senior User Researcher to define ongoing strategic opportunities for Scribd’s UGC products. You will lead generative and exploratory research to drive continuous evolution and significant impact, grounded in deep user understanding. What You Will Do
Identify the questions to move strategy and execution forward; inform company strategy, product experiences, and long-term roadmaps with your insights. Advocate for and shape the strategic direction of the UGC brands, acting as a thought leader and contributing across brand and cross-functional teams. Design, scope, and conduct user research to uncover latent and unmet needs of Scribd and Slideshare users using generative, iterative, and evaluative methods. Support multiple product managers, designers, and other stakeholders with a range of research needs, from large and generative to small and tactical. Make research findings actionable through crafted insights, decks, stories, videos, and testimonials; foster engagement in studies and a shared understanding of research output to drive decisions. Build and implement innovative research processes to meet product delivery goals. Leverage company-provisioned AI tools to maximize efficiencies while maintaining appropriate human oversight for impactful research. About You
5+ years of hands-on experience in market/product/design research with tangible impact on roadmaps, outcomes, and team processes. Ability to navigate ambiguous spaces to extract key information and define clear paths forward. Knowledge of qualitative UX research methods and quantitative experience for surveys at scale. BA/BS in Psychology, Social Science or related field, or equivalent experience. Proven ability to translate human-centered insights into business questions and outcomes. Strong collaboration skills with experience leading cross-functional brainstorming and strategic partnerships. Ability to own a slice of the research roadmap and adapt to shifting priorities. Strong presentation and storytelling skills; capacity to work quickly and manage multiple studies concurrently. Compensation
At Scribd, base pay is one part of total compensation. Salary ranges vary by geographic location. In California, the range is approximately $122,500 to $191,000. In the United States outside California, the range is approximately $101,000 to $181,000. In Canada, the range is approximately CAD 128,000 to CAD 169,500.
