Senior User Experience Researcher at Scribd, Inc. Join a team focused on defining ongoing strategic opportunities for Scribd’s UGC products, with an emphasis on generative and exploratory research methods to drive ongoing evolution and impact. What You Will Do
Help identify the questions we need to answer to move strategy and execution forward. Your insights will inform company strategy, product experiences, and long-term roadmaps. Advocate for and develop the strategic direction of the UGC brands, acting as a thought leader and collaborator with brand and cross-functional teams. Design, scope, and run user research to uncover latent and unmet needs of Scribd and Slideshare users through creative research, including generative, iterative, and evaluative methods. Support multiple product managers, designers, and other cross-functional stakeholders with a wide range of research needs, from large and generative to small and tactical. Make research findings relevant and impactful through crafted insights, decks, stories, videos, and testimonials, and engage teams to drive informed decision making. Build and implement innovative user research processes to meet product delivery goals. Leverage company-provisioned AI tools to maximize efficiencies in research processes, while maintaining appropriate human oversight. About You
5+ years of hands-on experience designing and conducting market/product/design research with demonstrable impact on roadmaps, design outcomes, and team processes. Ability to navigate ambiguous opportunity spaces to extract key information and form a clear path forward. Comprehensive knowledge of qualitative UX research methods and quantitative experience for large-scale surveys. BA/BS+ in Psychology, Social Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. Proven ability to use human-centered insights to answer business questions. Strong collaboration skills and ability to lead cross-functional brainstorming sessions and strategic partnerships. Ability to own a slice of the research roadmap and adapt to shifting priorities. Strong presentation skills with a creative and compelling storytelling style. Demonstrated ability to work quickly and handle multiple research studies concurrently. Compensation, Perks & Benefits
At Scribd, base pay is part of total compensation and is determined within a range based on location and level. Salary ranges include: California (US): $122,500 to $191,000 US (outside California): $101,000 to $181,000 Canada: $128,000 CAD to $169,500 CAD Equity eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package are also provided.
