Position Summary This
remote, high-volume inbound call role
is responsible for providing professional and courteous assistance to members, providers, and other healthcare professionals. The Pharmacy Technician I will support the
criteria-based prior authorization process
by reviewing clinical documentation, ensuring accurate and timely determinations, and escalating when clinical judgment is required. This is a
safety-sensitive role
.
Key Responsibilities Handle a high volume of inbound calls from members, providers, and healthcare professionals.
Deliver exceptional customer service by guiding callers through the prior authorization process.
Review clinical documentation for completeness and eligibility based on established criteria.
Document approvals, denials, and case notes accurately and promptly.
Escalate complex or clinical judgment cases to a pharmacist for review.
Adhere to compliance, regulatory requirements, and internal protocols at all times.
Schedule & Training Training:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST
Shifts Post-Training:
8-hour shifts with two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute lunch. Hours of operation: 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM CST
Final schedules will be assigned after training based on business needs.
Qualifications Required: Verifiable High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience as a pharmacy technician or in a comparable role.
Prior experience in a high-volume call center, preferably medical-related.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Active Pharmacy Technician License (State or National Certification) in good standing. Candidates with a license should provide a screenshot at the top of their resume.
