Job Summary

The University of Michigan School of Nursing (UMSN) has an excellent opportunity for a creative, innovative filmmaker who will develop, shoot, and produce videos to provide educational reparation for adult audiences. The artistic challenge is to present foundational math concepts to diverse adults in a visceral way that doesn't feel childish. Starting with storyboards, the filmmaker will balance educational approaches with compelling storytelling and visuals. The final product will blend live action with visual graphics. The timeline is 4, 10-15 minute videos per semester for the 2025-2026 academic year.

This is work for hire, and the final product will be released publicly at no cost to viewers.

Required Qualifications*

A Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred. Film students are welcome.

  • Enthusiasm for evidenced-based instruction and creative problem-solving growth mindsets.
  • Demonstrated work experience successfully producing educational videos.
