Job Title: Part-Time Social Media Coordinator

Location: Hybrid (Remote with weekly on-site visits in Eden Prairie, MN)

Hours: Part-time, approx. 10–15 hours per week

About Helping Paws

Helping Paws is a nonprofit organization dedicated to training and placing service dogs with individuals who have physical disabilities and veterans/first responders with PTSD. Our work is made possible by a passionate community of volunteers, donors, and supporters. We are seeking a creative and organized Part-Time Social Media Coordinator to help us share our mission, engage our community, and grow our online presence.

Responsibilities

  • Create and publish engaging social media content 5–6 days per week across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

  • Share posts to Stories and develop original Stories that go beyond reposts (e.g., multiple photos from puppy updates, behind-the-scenes content).

  • Visit the Helping Paws training facility, training field trip locations, or caretaker homes (for new litters of puppies) once a week to capture photos and videos. Coordinate and shoot this content using Helping Paws’ iPhone or your own device (depending on quality).

  • Expand Helping Paws’ reach into TikTok and LinkedIn with tailored content strategies.

  • Co-develop and manage a social media content calendar aligned with Helping Paws’ brand, events, and campaigns.

  • Coordinate with ALREADY CREATE pages form VDT

  • Produce recurring content, including:

    • Weekly Feel Good Friday post.

    • Weekly BCA/Classroom Training shoot and post (Tuesdays).

    • Regular Volunteer Dog Trainer/Volunteer Highlight features from photos you take or gathered from volunteers

    • Event promotion (designed graphics provided).

    • Highlighting past demonstrations.

    • Monthly field trip recap post.

    • Monthly live stream with dogs in training.

    • Frequent puppy videos and updates.

  • Track performance metrics and recommend adjustments to improve engagement.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing social media platforms for a brand, nonprofit, or community organization.

  • Strong storytelling and content creation skills (photo, video, captions).

  • Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and live streaming.

  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain a consistent posting schedule.

  • Willingness and ability to visit Eden Prairie weekly for content capture.

  • Passion for animals and interest in nonprofit or community work a plus!
