Overview
The Multimedia Coordinator will play a key role in bringing our mission to the court of public opinion through creative storytelling. This position will focus on producing engaging short-form video content that educates and inspires, while maintaining IJ’s brand voice. The ideal candidate is experienced at short-form video editing and passionate about IJ’s mission.
Characteristics
- A strong storyteller with good taste (both in terms of recognizing engaging content but also discerning about how/what/when to speak publicly)
- Dependable, able to manage multiple projects at once
- Organized enough to juggle projects and provide regular reports on production progress
- Collaborative and open to feedback, especially during the approval process
- Eager to deepen understanding of IJ
Responsibilities
- Brainstorm and collaborate on video ideas
- Record and edit clips into compelling social media videos
- Write scripts and coordinate with talent
- Manage regular updates in the project management system to ensure transparency in the production workflow
- Support other creative projects such as photography or graphic design as needed
- Ensure all media aligns with IJ branding and voice
Required Skills
- Proficiency in video editing software (ex. CapCut, Adobe, Final Cut, etc.)
- 2-3 years of experience in video production
- Strong storytelling and creative writing skills
- Deep familiarity with social media platforms and trends
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Experience with motion graphics, animation, audio editing is a plus
