Technical Writer III to design, develop, and deliver documentation for the Foundational Web Services platform. Responsible for content reuse and single-sourcing strategies, and for evaluating and selecting tools and technologies for the technical publications team.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver documentation for the Foundational Web Services platform.
- Develop content reuse and single-sourcing strategies.
- Evaluate and select tools and technologies for the technical publications team.
- Identify subject matter experts and manage the portfolio to review, identify, and make updates.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to support updates and gather feedback.
- Make updates using HTML code and Wiki.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams and partner teams, including IT and construction.
- Commit to due dates and provide a work plan or report by phase.
- Assist with strategy and perform project management tasks.
Essential Skills
- 4 years of experience in a writing or lead writing role.
- Proven experience designing documentation for software.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Ability to learn HTML-based publishing systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Some experience with web services and related technologies is a plus.
- Experience with HTML-based publishing systems.
- Project management experience with 4+ years of experience.
- 2+ years of experience in technical writing.
Work Environment
The position is based in Arlington, VA, with potential for occasional travel. The role involves weekly team meetings and meetings with contractors twice a week. Regular interactions with stakeholders are required to support updates. The work environment is fast-paced, with cross-functional collaboration across internal and partner teams. Dress code is business casual.
Job Type & Location
This is a 3-4 month Contract position based out of Arlington, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
