Program Dissemination and Communications Specialist - Center for Global Health Practice and Impact
Georgetown University’s Center for Global Health Practice and Impact (CGHPI) seeks a Program Dissemination and Communications Specialist to strengthen information sharing and public engagement for the Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S. - Technical Assistance Provider (EHE-TAP) project, and to support broader CGHPI communications.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a strategy for communications and public engagement in coordination with the EHE-TAP Program Director and CGHPI leadership.
Develop reports and other digital and print resources; manage CGHPI’s social media and email channels.
Content Writing: create toolkits, manuals, reports, infographics; draft content for feature stories, reports, web pages, social media, and videos for public dissemination; liaise with CGHPI staff and EHE jurisdictions to collect data and information; coordinate graphic design and print production; proofread and edit content prior to publication.
Website, Email, and Social Media Management: manage uploads with HRSA partners, oversee day-to-day website updates, manage CGHPI social media accounts, manage email databases, and establish regular email communications with stakeholders; review and report on analytics to optimize communications.
Strategic Communications Planning & Event Planning/Delivery: map key stakeholders, develop a communications strategy for CGHPI and its projects; assist in brand review to enhance visibility; assist with webinar development, logistics, and management for virtual and in-person events.
Work Interactions: report to the EHE-TAP Program Director; collaborate with technical advisors, student workers, and consultants; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success. May occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or a related field
2-3 years of experience in communications, ideally in global health or related field
Experience contributing to strategic communications planning
Exceptional writing skills for academics, policymakers, and general public
Experience with website design projects, content audits, and content strategy development
Experience creating content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube)
Experience with WordPress; ability to analyze and report on website, social, and email analytics
Experience planning and executing in-person, hybrid, and virtual events, including logistics and vendor management
Ability to manage multiple priorities with overlapping deadlines; strong cross-functional collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
Familiarity with SEO and optimization tools
Skills in photography, videography, and editing (useful but not required)
Graphic design skills (useful but not required)
Work Mode Designation This position has been designated as
Hybrid . Work mode designations are regularly reviewed to meet the evolving needs of the University.
Pay Range $47,586.00 - $87,558.13. Compensation is determined by qualifications, experience, education, skills, and University needs.
