ASTROBET is hiring: 2D Spine Animator in Town of Italy

Overview

Astrobet is an ambitious start-up building a next-generation crypto casino platform that blends blockchain technology with innovative gameplay. Our goal is to deliver a secure, scalable, and engaging experience for players worldwide, starting with our proprietary game, BirdBet.

The Role

As a 2D Spine Animator, you will be responsible for preparing and animating all visual assets of our games. You will take static images (symbols, characters, UI elements, effects) and animate them in Spine, ensuring that the animations are fluid, lightweight, and optimized for web.

Key Responsibilities

• Animate symbols, backgrounds, effects, and UI elements for online slot and instant-win games.
• Rig assets: prepare skeletons, bones, and simple deformations so static images can be animated smoothly.
• Create animation sets such as idle states, spin start/loop/stop, win effects, bonus triggers, button animations, etc.
• Ensure animations are optimized for browsers and mobile devices (lightweight JSON + atlas).
• Export and deliver Spine files, JSON, and texture atlases compatible with our game framework.
• Follow clean naming conventions and documentation so developers can easily integrate the animations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a 2D Animator with a strong portfolio (Spine projects required).
• Advanced knowledge of Spine 2D (rigging, bones, meshes, events, export).
• Ability to create animations that are both visually appealing and technically optimized.
• Basic skills in Photoshop / Illustrator for asset preparation.
• Familiarity with casino games (slots, reels, crash, instant win) is a strong plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in online casino / iGaming
• Understanding of HTML5 game optimization (for browser/mobile).
• Ability to create original 2D artwork in addition to animations.
