Viderity is an award-winning consulting firm that provides IT and outreach services to federal agencies and commercial organizations. You’ll be working with a friendly and whip-smart team supporting a well-known organization responsible for exciting discoveries ranging from the first internet browser to black holes to the first semiconductor!

Work arrangement: Part-time, 10-20 hours weekly. Fully remote.

Eligibility: Must be a U.S. Citizen who will pass a public trust federal background check.

Viderity is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer with photography and/or videography expertise to join our team. As a Multimedia Design Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the planning, organizing, and execution of graphic design and multimedia tasks, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality assets to the customer, a federal agency that has a crucial role in serving the United States Congress and the Supreme Court.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior team members on large-scale projects, contributing creative input and producing graphic design elements, including photography and videography.
• Assist in planning, organizing, and executing graphic design and multimedia projects, ensuring tasks, deliverables, and schedules are met.
• Contribute to the creation and execution of graphic design workflows, seamlessly integrating photography and videography.
• Work on converting digital media files into various formats for both print and digital materials, including video and photo formats.
• Capture and edit high-quality photos and videos for use in multimedia materials.
• Support the understanding and application of print specifications, setting up files correctly for printing.
• Maintain knowledge of fonts, style sheets, and color theory in design work.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, to create visually appealing designs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience in graphic design and photography or videography.
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, or a related major, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong creative portfolio showcasing a good understanding of typography, grid-based design, white space, and color theory.
• Familiarity with graphic design and illustration formats for both print and digital materials.
• Ability to work collaboratively on projects and contribute creative ideas.
• Interest in marketing, education, and exhibits is a plus.
• Basic experience with motion graphics is preferred but not required.
