Overview

The company is expanding its Integrated Power Business to deliver power solutions across the power value chain, combining renewable energy, flexible assets, behind the meter solutions, wholesale markets and customer tools. The objective is to broaden offerings to include 3rd party renewable energy sales, clean firm power solutions, physical supply to customers and behind the meter solutions to create flexibility and long-term value. TotalEnergies’ Flexible Power and Integration Business Unit focuses on de-regulated energy markets (EU, US, Australia and Brazil) while also providing power-related solutions in regulated markets for B2B and local utility customers.

Accountabilities

  • Origination, front, structuring, negotiation, contracting and management of clean firm power PPAs to LB2B buyers (short/long term, PAP and structured/stand-alone or embedded in physical supply contracts).
  • Collaborate with Trading and PIM; drive innovation and actively test new solutions in the market.
  • Ensure actions are in place to meet CPPA P&L and C-PPA GW targets, with effective and timely P&L tracking.
  • Organize customer interface, contracting support, regulation and pricing support.
  • Coordinate with the rest of the C-PPA Team and HQ LB2B CPPA teams.
  • Develop and be responsible for measurable milestones by 2030 (from zero starting point): US LB2B Team of 20+ TWh renewable energy sales on PPAs (TTE and 3rd party) with Clean Firm Power contributing up to 25% of volumes; gross margin generation of 20+ M$/y by 2030, with 50% from Clean Firm Power.
  • Geography: entire US markets, with primary focus on ERCOT, PJM, and CAISO sub-markets.
  • Develop analytics and valuation tools and processes for CPPA to value contracts and hedges (in coordination with Trading).
  • Support clean firm power initiatives across the US, coordinating contributions from internal stakeholders.
  • Support sales in Data Center and Food & Beverage segments; support Clearway Energy interfaces for FPI.

Activities

1. Support origination and execution of integrated firm power contracts and solutions

  • Identify and originate existing and potential B2B customer opportunities to pilot and execute structured integrated power offers, in collaboration with the C-PPA team.
  • Focus on industrial customers and green hydrogen (H2) projects.
  • Initially orient around physical assets in ERCOT with expansion to other ISOs (CAISO, PJM).
  • Manage and lead coordination of internal contributors (PIM, Trading, etc.).

2. Business Model / Offer Development

  • Identify market-leading integrated power offers, target pricing, key components and assess internal capabilities and gaps with remediation recommendations.
  • Establish external partnerships and participate in external transactions to fill gaps in offer components.
  • Coordinate with internal modeling/analytics teams to support solution scoping and valuation.
  • Develop marketing and external-facing content for the Clean Firm Power offer.
  • Recommend physical asset and MW capacity to support growth and market expansion.

3. Team Collaboration

  • Develop analytics and valuation tools for CPPA team to value contracts and hedges (in coordination with Trading).
  • Be an active contributor to the C-PPA team and ensure seamless collaboration with all internal stakeholders; collaborate with the US C-PPA team as well as the Paris C-PPA team, One B-to-B PIM and TGPNA.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications / Experience

  • Graduate / degree-level qualifications.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in energy markets and renewable energy solutions, ideally on the customer buy side.
  • Strong, proven track record in energy-related solutions development for B2B customers (innovation, process, commercial, value creation).
  • Project management experience, including setup of new functions and processes/products.
  • Strong analytical and risk skills.
