?? About the Role

We're seeking a detail-oriented, strategic Proposal Writer to lead and support the development of high-quality proposals in response to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs-primarily for federal, state, and municipal contracts. You'll collaborate with technical teams, project managers, and leadership to craft compelling, compliant, and client-focused proposals that showcase our capabilities.

?? Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze RFP/RFQ/RFI requirements and develop compliance matrices and proposal outlines
  • Lead or support the proposal development process from kickoff to final submission
  • Write, edit, and format technical and non-technical content (resumes, project descriptions, cover letters, etc.)
  • Coordinate inputs from subject matter experts, engineers, and project managers
  • Manage deadlines, version control, and quality assurance of all submission materials
  • Support the development of graphics, templates, and boilerplate content
  • Maintain and update proposal library and past performance data
? Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience writing proposals for engineering, A/E/C, or government contracting firms
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes (FAR/DFAR knowledge a plus)
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and formatting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); InDesign or Adobe Suite and Deltek plus
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced environment
