Position Overview:

NTPS is seeking a dynamic Director of Business Development and Marketing to lead and expand business opportunities, focusing on securing strategic partnerships and long-term flight test training contracts with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), governmental aviation organizations, and the commercial aerospace industry. This individual will play a critical role in identifying, developing, and securing contracts that align with NTPSs mission and growth strategy, as well as securing grants supporting NTPS research and STEM initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and secure long-term contracts that align with NTPSs strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with DoD and FMS agencies, governmental agencies, and aerospace OEMs to expand NTPSs reach in the U.S. market.
  • Lead and manage the proposal development and contract process, including writing and negotiating multi-year contracts.
  • Monitor government procurement portals (e.g., SAM.gov, DSCA, the Federal Register, etc.) to identify contract opportunities and manage the bid process.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote NTPSs capabilities and services.
  • Represent NTPS at industry conferences, trade shows, and government meetings to establish and foster key relationships and promote NTPS programs.
  • Create compelling marketing materials, presentations, and proposals tailored to different stakeholders.

Strategic Analysis & Reporting
  • Conduct an annual SWOT analysis to assess NTPSs position in the market; track and evaluate competitor activities and industry trends; thereby providing actionable objectives for strategic planning.
  • Provide regular market analysis, forecasting, and reports on business development efforts, student forecasts, and contract pipelines.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree (Master of Science desired).
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, contract management, or marketing within the aerospace, defense, or aviation industry.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, requirements definition, and contract management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for highly technical topics, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and marketing materials.
  • Ability to travel frequently (at least 30%) to engage with clients, attend conferences, and develop business relationships.
  • Experience conducting SWOT analyses, strategic assessments, and developing annual strategic marketing plans.
