Job Summary

Manager, Media

The primary function of this role is to develop strategic media plans and execute highly targeted media buys that promote Disney's Corporate Brand Responsibility and Franchise teams. The chosen candidate will provide excellent plan stewardship by interacting with media leadership and the cross functional marketing and Brand teams. This position will function as a liaison with the Media agency to ensure plan objectives are met, buy reporting reviews are conducted, and optimizations for continuous improvements are in place.

The Manager must possess flexibility and be willing to assume challenges and increased responsibility, as well as ways to improve workflows/increase efficiency, etc. Additionally, have a deep understanding of data, audience segmentation and highly targeted media vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with Media VP and cross functional teams including marketing strategy, digital marketing, creative and research to manage campaign budgets and develop strategic initiatives that meet and often exceed goals.
  • Manage the day-to-day plan execution with Disney's Media Agency by relaying direction, giving/receiving campaign feedback, and overall creation of media campaign recommendations.
  • Partner with Media VP to review plans, deliverables, and ensure strategic oversight is being applied across all campaigns.
  • Manage creative deliverables, including general asset management, ad spec updates, and buy type changes across applicable teams.
  • Monitor live confirmations, QA process, campaign reporting, and implement daily/weekly media performance optimizations.
  • Summarize campaign reporting and deliver creative optimization recommendations to Media VP.
  • Maintain knowledge of media best practices, trends and industry developments.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in media planning and buying with an emphasis in Digital.
  • Exceptional multi-task skills; can work on many projects/campaigns simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills to assure successful interaction with executives and business unit contacts.
  • Detail oriented with superior organization skills.
  • Able to prioritize and work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, flexible, and reachable.
  • Team player with a positive outlook.
  • Proficient in MS Office - specifically in Excel & PowerPoint (and/or Keynote).

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Relevant experience in advertising/media or marketing
  • Advanced in MS Office - specifically in Excel & PowerPoint (and/or Keynote)
  • Entertainment industry experience

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $89,000 - $115,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
