TECHNICAL MEDIA PRODUCER/DIRECTOR - WSMV

WSMV-TV in Nashville is looking for a Technical Media Producer to direct live or pre-recorded productions, monitor on-air signals, transmitter logs, EAS events, and ingest daily programming and commercials. Regular duties include directing newscasts, operating equipment in master control, and supporting various productions. The candidate should have strong communication skills and working knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Direct live or pre-recorded productions as assigned
• Monitor on-air signals, transmitter logs, and EAS events
• Ingest daily programming and commercials
• Direct newscasts and operate equipment in master control
• Operate robotic cameras and manage hardware/software as needed
• Collaborate with all departments to meet daily needs
• Adapt to breaking news and developing stories
• Meet multiple deadlines and manage shifting priorities
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication and good judgment
• Maintain care for equipment and be willing to learn new hardware and software

Qualifications/Requirements

• Proficient in Windows-based applications
• Experience in television operations
• Dependable, well-organized, able to multitask, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
