What You'll Do

As an Experience Design Manager, you will design, optimize, and evolve digital experiences across CRM, CRO, and product environments—primarily focused on the Introduction and Growth stages of the product lifecycle. This hybrid role blends UX/UI product design, conversion rate optimization, and CRM campaign execution, creating scalable, high-performance experiences that align with business goals, user needs, and behavioral data. You’ll work with BCG consultants, BCG X growth teams, CRM specialists, and developers to deliver user-centric, testable, and measurable design across touchpoints like emails, landing pages, onboarding flows, and dashboards. You’ll balance strategic thinking and hands-on delivery, contributing both design leadership and tactical experimentation in a fast-paced, global, and collaborative environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • UX Assessment & Heuristic Analysis — Audit and optimize existing user experiences using heuristic evaluation and user behavior data.
  • Performance-Driven Experience — Design cross-channel experiences (emails, landing pages, product flows) using data to drive engagement and conversion.
  • CRM Journey & Campaign Design — Design multi-step CRM journeys across email platforms with attention to personalization, segmentation, and lifecycle logic.
  • MVP Demo Prototyping — Rapidly design and prototype MVP concepts or demo experiences to support early-stage validation, stakeholder alignment, and user testing. Use interactive tools to simulate product functionality, business logic, and core UX flows.
  • Front-End Collaboration & Handoff — Deliver pixel-perfect specs and work closely with developers for seamless implementation.
  • Data-Driven Optimization & Experimentation — Use A/B testing, heatmaps, interviews, and analytics tools to inform iterative design improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Create and optimize digital experiences that align with business objectives and user needs—especially in growth-stage products and services.
  • Lead the design of user journeys, prototypes, and final visual UI across landing pages, emails, apps, dashboards, and campaign flows.
  • Conduct heuristic evaluations and analytics reviews to identify drop-off points and opportunity areas for improvement.
  • Translate CRO hypotheses into testable designs and track performance through analytics platforms like GA4 or similar.
  • Design CRM journeys and campaign assets aligned with lifecycle stages, segmentation, and personalization strategies.
  • Present findings, concepts, and recommendations to stakeholders with clear storytelling and rationale.
  • Collaborate with marketing, development, product, and analytics teams to create cohesive experiences that scale.
  • Balance short-term iterations (tests, MVPs) with longer-term scalability and design system governance.

You’re Good At

  • Turning business goals into intuitive, high-performing user experiences
  • Synthesizing user behavior, analytics, and qualitative research into design insights
  • Navigating complexity—designing for enterprise, B2B, and multi-stage journeys
  • Communicating design rationale and experimentation strategy to stakeholders
  • Balancing hands-on craft with a strategic mindset
  • Working collaboratively across design, dev, marketing, and analytics teams
  • Adapting quickly to changing priorities in a global, matrixed team environment

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in UX/UI design, CRO, and/or digital experience design in a product or agency environment
  • Proven ability to improve conversion, reduce friction, and increase engagement through design
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Adobe Experience Cloud, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of user-centered design principles, funnel optimization, and customer lifecycle frameworks
  • Strong capability in Figma, Adobe XD, or similar tools, including component libraries and responsive systems
  • Experience working with data and experimentation tools (e.g., A/B testing, heatmaps, session recordings)
  • Strong portfolio showcasing cross-channel digital experiences, experimentation, and measurable impact

Nice to Have (SFMC Technical Skills)

  • Hands-on experience with Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Content Builder
  • Proficiency in AMPscript and HTML/CSS for responsive and personalized email design
  • Familiarity with SQL, SSJS, and data extension management
  • Experience integrating SFMC with APIs and managing data workflows
  • Email QA/testing experience across clients and devices
  • Understanding of compliance best practices and accessibility in email design
