Role Purpose
The Senior Manager, Global Communications, Americas, will report to the Senior Director Global Communications and co‑develop and drive the company’s media engagement, executive thought leadership strategies and policy communications in the Americas. The role raises awareness of the business among top‑tier business, tech, and policy media, industry influencers, and regional stakeholders. It supports executive visibility, identifies and drives high‑impact speaking and media opportunities, and advances the company’s corporate narrative and objectives through strategic campaigns, events, partnerships, and content that reach influential U.S., Americas, and global audiences. It leads the creation, delivery, and evaluation of communications plans for major milestones, regulatory developments, and macro events in the region and globally, while playing a key role in regional issues and crisis response.
It also acts as a communications business partner to key corporate functions and Booking Holdings entities and brands—providing strategic counsel, messaging development, employee and media engagement support, and ensuring alignment with broader company priorities. It will provide robust counsel and support around disclosure alignment to key members of the Communications teams at Booking Holdings and its brands.
What you have to do
- Drives proactive media engagement, identifying and creating news drivers, securing interviews, and leveraging relevant trends, while remaining highly responsive to inbound media inquiries and flexing media strategy across the team as needed.
- Develops and drives policy, corporate, and executive communication strategies to support priority business needs in the Americas (with focus on the U.S., including regular presence and relationship cultivation in Washington D.C. and key States) and globally.
- Prepares key messaging, business‑critical media materials, and corporate, policy, and product communications plans, collaborating with stakeholders to enable real‑time decisions on media relations strategies when deadlines arise.
- Initiates and implements thought leadership positioning, including major moments of company vision and timely opportunities, and supports social media strategy and execution for Booking Holdings CEO and executives, as well as the corporate brand, while identifying new opportunities and channels.
- Co‑leads executive speaker strategy, securing and maximizing speaker opportunities that support business objectives in the Americas (with focus on the U.S.), and collaborates with global spokespeople on narrative and presentation drafting.
- Develops brand and event partnership/sponsorship approaches to increase reach and engagement for Booking Holdings and its brands, primarily in the U.S., with relevant audiences as needed.
- Provides active counsel and proactive communications support to the company’s brands, other brand teams, key business functions, and BHI entities to ensure consistency of corporate narrative, messaging, disclosure alignment, employee engagement, and robust issues management to mitigate reputational risk and amplify overall communications effectiveness.
What you have
- Strong understanding of business operations, corporate and financial communications, and the policy landscape in the Americas, in addition to consumer media and social media.
- Ability to understand, analyze, and add strategic insights that benefit the business, customers, and employees.
- Ability to create and maintain strong professional relationships with media outlets and other organizations.
- Experience delivering communications plans globally, regionally, and domestically.
- Highly organized with excellent planning skills. Takes ownership and proactively solves problems.
- Strong experience with stakeholder management, including across senior leadership, and the ability to navigate large global organizations, including knowledge of operating within a Holding Company structure.
- Strong writing skills—quick, clear, persuasive, and audience‑tailored—paired with attention to detail and adaptability.
- Extensive knowledge of the e‑commerce and/or travel industries.
- Experience mentoring and coaching to foster development in others.
- Available to offer support outside of normal business hours or travel, as required.

Salary and Benefits
There are a variety of job related factors that determine a salary range, including external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible for an annual bonus and equity grant. The base salary range for Connecticut and the NYC‑metro area is $153,000‑$187,000.
