About the Role

We’re looking for a creative and motivated Content Creator to join our team with 1-2 years experience in content creation and marketing. In this role, you’ll help bring our brand to life across social media, digital campaigns, and community touchpoints. You’ll be hands-on with producing and editing content, while also gaining exposure to campaign strategy and performance insights.

This role combines content creation, marketing execution, and community engagement. You’ll work cross-functionally with internal teams and store partners to support seamless campaign rollouts, while also serving as a frontline voice of the brand, engaging directly with customers through social media, email, and online reviews. Experience with or a strong interest in food, Japanese culture, or Japanese brands is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in content creation and/or marketing
  • College degree
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation tools
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pluses (but not required)

  • Japanese language skills (written and spoken) to support content creation
  • Strong writing and editing skills in English
  • Familiarity with Japanese culture and brands
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging trends)
  • Experience with CRM tools
  • Experience with design/editing software (Canva, Capcut, Adobe Creative Cloud – Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for food, culture, and community engagement

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation & Storytelling: Develop engaging content for social media, email, and blogs to showcase Yama’s brand, values, and offerings.
  • Digital Marketing: Use social media and digital platforms to educate customers about the brand and assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Social Media & Website Management: Oversee social media accounts, update website content, and optimize for SEO.
  • Online Reputation Management: Monitor and respond to online reviews, customer feedback, and social media mentions to maintain a positive brand image and address concerns proactively.
  • Influencer & Partnership Management: Build and maintain relationships with influencers and brand partners to expand Yama’s reach, drive engagement, and create authentic collaborations that resonate with target audiences.
  • Event & Advertising Support: Help coordinate events, in-store activations, and paid advertising efforts.
  • Internal Communication & Store Updates: Effectively communicate company-wide updates, including new menu items, marketing initiatives, and events, to store managers to ensure consistency and proper execution at the store level.
