Overview
The Social Media Coordinator is a core member of Team Social at Gold’s Gym, with online community management across our social platforms as the priority. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, eager to learn, and always up to date on social media trends with a passion for fitness or a curiosity to grow in space.
You’ll be on the frontlines of our social community: replying, engaging, and sparking conversations that strengthen connections with our members and audience each day. Alongside community management, you’ll also support content scheduling, reporting and analytics, and team processes to keep our channels organized and build the strongest online community.
Community Management
- Monitor, moderate, and engage with communities across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X, and other platforms.
- Respond to comments, DMs, and mentions in a timely, brand-appropriate manner.
- Proactively insert the brand into relevant conversations to build awareness and connection.
- Escalate member inquiries, brand questions, or potential PR issues to the right stakeholders.
- Track community sentiment and share actionable insights with the social and marketing teams.
- Support influencer and creator engagement through tagging, reposting, and interactive community touchpoints.
Content Scheduling & Publishing
- Upload and schedule approved content into Later to keep the posting calendar consistent and accurate.
- Verify captions, tags, and links for accuracy and optimization.
- Maintain and update the team’s content calendar and SharePoint library.
Analytics & Reporting
- Pull monthly social performance metrics.
- Assist with preparing analytics decks and data summaries for internal stakeholders.
Administrative Support
- Keep the team SharePoint organized with up-to-date assets, reports, and templates.
- Assist with vendor paperwork, invoice tracking, and influencer relations support.
- Coordinate workflows and help keep processes running smoothly across departments.
Content Support (As Needed)
- Assist with content shoots, including setup, organization, and behind-the-scenes support.
- Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions for brand social initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in social media, community management, or a related role (internship experience accepted).
- Familiarity with major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook) and scheduling tools like Later.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for matching brand voice and tone.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- A self-starter who is eager to learn and has a solution-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable pulling, interpreting, and summarizing social performance data.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Passion for fitness and social trends is a plus.
