Senior Software Engineer - UI / Backstage

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a dynamic team and lead the development of development accelerators. In this role, you will contribute to both backend and frontend features, focusing on custom plugins, processors, and API/database integrations, while enhancing the internal developer experience. You will help build an internal development tool using Backstage to guide developers to a centralized place for deploying different applications. This role involves substantial integration work, including platforms like ServiceNow, building a UI dashboard in the Backstage platform, building a tech radar, and integrating with GitHub.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Backend Developers, HTML coders, and Graphic Designers to create seamless web applications
• Build, deploy, and manage applications via CI/CD pipelines to cloud platforms

Requirements

• Experience with Node.js backend development
• Expertise in React and modern frontend development
• Knowledge of integrating with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and SQL/NoSQL databases
• Familiar with authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, SSO)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Frontend - React and TypeScript
• Familiarity with DevOps with CI/CD
• Backstage/ platform engineering tool
• Must be able to work as a W2 consultant
• Must have: W2 only for this position
