Overview

Position: Aircraft Production Control Clerk (Logs and Records). Lexington Park, MD. Salary range in Maryland varies by location and market conditions.

Responsibilities

• Compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets, following prescribed recording procedures.
• Calculate types and quantities of items produced, materials used, scrap, defects, and production rates using appropriate tools.
• Write production reports based on compiled data using prescribed formats.
• Maintain files of documents used and prepared.
• Prepare detailed production sheets or work tickets from orders and specifications for use by production workers.
• Prepare written work schedules based on guidelines and priorities.
• Compile material inventory records and prepare requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.
• Chart production using charts, graphs, or pegboards for reference by production and management.
• Distribute work tickets or materials to workers; may compute wages from timecards and post wage data for payroll.
• Process NAVFLIR input and validation; verify flight operation reports; assist with aircraft discrepancy book reviews.
• Prepare, record, verify, and update aircraft records, reports, engine documentation, and TDs (technical directives).
• Initiate and verify aircraft logbooks and AESR forms; ensure accurate inventories and configurations of aircraft and equipment.
• Comply with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 and use knowledge of NAMP and NALCOMIS applications.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of maintenance and material control procedures; familiarity with aircraft logbooks, reports, and production records.
• Ability to analyze maintenance and material data; interact effectively with personnel at all levels.
• Understand technical language terms in related field; valid US state driver\'s license.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

Experience & Education

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Shall have completed the Navy AZ class "C" school or USMC/USCG equivalent.
• Two (2) or more years of recent aircraft records experience; prior maintenance and material control operations experience preferred.

Physical Requirements / Working Environment

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Normal office in a hangar environment.
