As the Sr. Associate, Paid SEO (Search Engine Optimization), reporting to the Manager, Associate Director, or Director of SEO, you will be responsible for implementing innovative, traditional, and AI-forward SEO and content strategies for enterprise clients. You'll play a hands-on role in optimizing digital assets for natural search while leveraging AI tools and practices, including prompt writing and generative search content strategies, to stay ahead of evolving search behaviors.

This position is ideal for someone who is not only fluent in technical and content SEO, but also passionate about applying AI to search workflows and content development. You'll help shape the future of how brands show up in traditional search as well as AI-driven search experiences and AI Overviews.

In this role you will have the opportunity to make this role your own: help define our strategic offering, build the narrative and positioning of our agency to share with prospects, and drive innovation by integrating emerging SEO and AI search capabilities into how we show up for clients.

As a pivotal team member within our SEO account team, the below will give you a sense of what your daily, weekly interactions can consist of;

About the role:

1. Develop and implement holistic SEO campaigns with a focus on both traditional and AI-driven search strategies.

2. Assist in developing strategic SEO and content workstreams that align with client goals, with a particular focus on optimizing for AI search environments (e.g., SGE, ChatGPT, Perplexity).

3. Create SEO-optimized content for priority pages, blog articles, and product landing pages using strategic keywords and AI-enhanced writing tools.

4. Support client teams on SEO optimizations and input these optimizations into the client's e-retail platform to monitor and manage them.

5. You will be expected to participate in client-facing interactions (calls, in-person meetings, and emails).

6. Conduct Natural Search Research

7. Be the expert on search user intent and conduct advanced search and keyword intent research with a focus on clustering and topic modeling.

8. Create and produce client-facing presentations, research, and execution documents.

9. Research and implement linking strategies

10. Compile and QA monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports per client's business specs.

11. Identify trending content opportunities and shifts in the organic landscape as it relates to client industries/verticals.

12. Collaborate with client's technical and content team(s) in order to implement proposed recommendations.

13. Work with cross-functional departments, including Paid Search and Social Media, to develop and track all details of SEO initiatives and digital performance.

14. Conduct and implement multiple page-level optimizations per client's business needs

15. Maintain expertise on search engine news and trends, including staying at the forefront of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) best practices, and apply them across client workstreams.

16. Provide mentorship to junior team members, especially on AI tools, SEO copywriting techniques, and prompt engineering for content.

About you

  • You are comfortable with speaking and interacting with clients, presenting findings, and reviewing deliverables with brand stakeholders.
  • A team player who is willing to tackle new challenges and possesses a willingness to provide support on various project and account needs.
  • Dedicated to your search engine optimization craft, with a passion to learn and explore new areas within the evolving SEO and search ecosystem (SGE, Organic shopping, video, etc.)
What we're looking for:
  • 2+ years of tactical and strategic SEO experience in agency or in-house environments.
  • 2+ years of SEO copywriting experience with proven success in optimizing content for both search engines and human users.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing AI tools for SEO (e.g., prompt crafting for content generation, search behavior analysis, AI search landscape monitoring).
  • Working knowledge of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), SGE strategies, and AI-powered discovery platforms. BS/BA in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, MIS or Statistics.
  • Have experience writing copy, with an understanding of how to write for both users and search engines at once.

  • Have a proven record of page placement and website optimization.
  • Have a strong understanding of technical SEO
  • Enjoy problem solving and adapting to new technologies and processes.
  • Be fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Confident in public speaking with a passion for storytelling.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript a plus

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.

Compensation Range

$65,000-$65,000 USD

This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
