Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST, Monday-Friday

Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday
Options: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM CST | 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM CST | 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM CST
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in pharmacy (BS Pharmacy)
Active Pharmacist License in state of practice/residence (required)
Position Overview
The Pharmacist/Clinician is responsible for performing criteria-based and clinical reviews of medical data to process prior authorization requests. This role involves direct interaction with physicians, members, and internal teams to ensure timely determinations and quality member care.
Evaluate prior authorization requests and render coverage determinations based on clinical guidelines and plan design.
Communicate timely case decisions to physicians, health plans, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with technicians and team members to answer clinical questions, collect medical data, and process referrals.
Take inbound/outbound calls from providers, patients, and internal teams to support PA processing and resolve escalations.
Maintain knowledge of specialty and non-specialty drugs, disease states, and clinical programs.
Provide on-call/after-hours availability for urgent PA requests as needed.
Preferred Experience
Prior authorization (PA) or clinical case review experience in a high-volume, production-based setting.
Background in commercial or specialty pharmacy strongly preferred.
Retail pharmacy experience is acceptable-successful hires have transitioned from retail into this role.
