Our client is seeking a Digital Experience Researcher to join our Digital Experience team, supporting initiatives within the sales (origination) journey of our customer experience value stream. Researchers serve as a support function to our digital and design teams, uncovering deep human insights that guide strategy and improve digital experiences. This particular role focuses on understanding how customers navigate Regions.com, explore products, and open new accounts - with the goal of creating a more intuitive and frictionless origination experience. This position differs from the prior Level 2 research role, which was specific to servicing and usability testing. This new role emphasizes qualitative research, human behavior, and conversation-based insight gathering rather than usability execution. This role is ideal for a curious, people-centered researcher who thrives on understanding customer behavior and shaping digital experiences from a human perspective. The Digital Experience Researcher will play a key role in evolving the clients' digital origination platform by uncovering insights that help make the online sales journey seamless, intuitive, and customer driven.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead qualitative research to uncover customer motivations, perceptions, and barriers within the digital sales journey.
  • Conduct one-on-one interviews, focus groups, and surveys to extract meaningful, actionable insights.
  • Develop and interpret personas, customer journeys, user flows, and service blueprints to inform product and design strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (UX, design, product, marketing) to translate research findings into clear recommendations.
  • Support experience mapping and help guide the transformation of the digital origination platform.
  • Present research insights to stakeholders and advocate for user needs throughout the design process.
Required Skills
  • 3+ years of experience in usability research, with a track record of actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated experience in qualitative research, including interviewing, focus groups, and behavioral insight analysis.
  • Strong grasp of human-centered design and customer journey mapping.
  • Comfortable facilitating discussions and building rapport with participants - this role requires someone who enjoys talking to people and drawing insights from conversation.
  • Skilled at survey design and analysis (experience with Qualtrics preferred).
  • Familiarity with usertesting.com or similar platforms, though usability testing is not the primary focus of this role.
  • Proficiency in Figma for mapping user flows and visualizing research findings.
  • Strong communication and storytelling abilities - able to translate complex insights into clear business recommendations.
  • Educational background in Psychology, Anthropology, Experience Design, or a related human-behavior field preferred.
Key Tools & Platforms
  • WebEx - conducting one-on-one interviews and virtual sessions
  • UserTesting.com - occasional use for usability or concept validation
  • Qualtrics - survey design and distribution
  • Figma - whiteboarding and journey mapping
