Overview

O2C SAP Solution Designer position at International. The role provides functional and technical expertise in identifying, analyzing, and evaluating requirements for O2C applications. O2C applications include ERP Sales, Distribution, Marketing and Quality operations and other systems. Lead/co-ordinate cross-functional teams to address the systems issues and drive learning of new systems. This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Lisle, IL.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the SAP Order-to-Cash (O2C) Subject Matter Expert (SME) with hands-on configuration expertise across SAP SD, CRM, FSCM, Receivables Management, and OpenText.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP O2C processes, ensuring end-to-end business requirements are met through scalable SAP solutions.
  • Manage full SAP O2C lifecycle implementations, including system configuration, functional specification development, integration, testing, go-live, and post-production support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business and IT teams to implement and deploy global ERP solutions, leveraging Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Configure and optimize core SAP SD functionalities, including sales order management, sales contracts, variant pricing, intercompany sales, billing, credit management, rebates, and revenue recognition.
  • Ensure proper integration of SD with other SAP modules including FI-AR, MM, PP, PS, and facilitate account determination procedures for SD and FI integration.
  • Create and maintain functional specifications for ABAP developments, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF).
  • Define and manage master data requirements critical to the O2C process such as business partners, customer hierarchies, and pricing conditions.
  • Lead and coordinate system management activities including business requirements gathering, solution design, UAT, and project go-live planning and support.
  • Monitor and resolve SAP O2C system issues, provide production support, and implement system improvements for optimal performance and user satisfaction.
  • Provide ongoing support for SAP O2C systems, including troubleshooting issues, resolving incidents, and implementing enhancements.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of ongoing SAP system enhancements, upgrades, and support, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Ensure financial controls are maintained by responding to internal and external audit requests and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and SOX regulations across all phases of SAP-related business processes.
  • Translate complex business requirements into SAP solutions and present recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Design and implement scalable, compliant SAP solutions in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • Produce and maintain business process documentation, diagrams, and training materials as needed to support user adoption and operational readiness.
  • Utilize strong analytical and presentation skills, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL for creating extracts, queries, and dashboards.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior team members, guide project teams, and act as a knowledge resource for SAP O2C best practices.
  • Champion change management initiatives, helping teams adapt to new processes and systems through effective communication and support.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and business priorities.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 12 years of experience analyzing, designing, evaluating, modifying, testing and implementing enterprise-wide systems or business experience using ERP applications
  • At least 2 years lead experience

  • Master's degree
  • At least 8 years of experience analyzing, designing, evaluating, modifying, testing and implementing enterprise-wide systems or business experience using ERP applications
  • At least 2 years lead experience

  • At least 14 years of experience analyzing, designing, evaluating, modifying, testing and implementing enterprise-wide systems or business experience using ERP applications

Desired Skills
  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in an SAP Order-to-Cash (O2C) environment, with strong competencies in the software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies.
  • Recognized SAP O2C Subject Matter Expert (SME) with hands-on configuration experience in SAP SD (Sales & Distribution), SAP CRM, SAP FSCM, SAP Receivables Management, and OpenText.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end SAP O2C processes with a track record of implementing, configuring, and optimizing SAP systems for global organizations.
  • Extensive experience in SAP Sales & Distribution, including sales contracts, order management, master data configuration, and credit management.
  • Expertise in customizing pricing processes, variant pricing, billing, inter-company sales, accounts receivable, rebates, and revenue recognition.
  • Strong understanding of SD and FI-AR integration, including configuration of account determination procedures.
  • Over 2 years of experience with SAP S/4HANA and at least 3 years in a leadership role within the O2C function.
  • Solid knowledge of master data objects supporting O2C (e.g., business partner, customer hierarchy).
  • Proven experience integrating SAP O2C with other SAP modules, including FICO, MM, PP, and PS.
  • Advanced experience in designing and implementing scalable SAP systems and applications solutions.
  • Skilled in business requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Proficient in business process documentation, including creating process diagrams and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Experienced in full SAP implementation lifecycles, leveraging Hybrid, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Adept at managing change, supporting users through transition to new systems and business processes.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to multi-task across multiple projects and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Experienced in developing and updating SQL queries and extracts to meet business reporting needs.
  • Proven ability to mentor, guide, and train junior professionals and colleagues.
  • Capable of determining methods and procedures for new assignments; often leads functional teams or projects and serves as a quality resource and best practices advisor.
  • Strong knowledge of financial controls, with responsibility for SOX compliance, corporate policy adherence, and responding to internal/external audit requests throughout all project phases.
