Craft individualized treatment plans targeting short-term objectives as well as long-term communication and swallowing goals. Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on various aspects such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues. Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Guide patients and their families with education to bolster progress beyond the clinical environment. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and speech therapy interventions to ensure patients receive comprehensive care throughout their journey. Document patient information meticulously to comply with state, federal, and organizational standards. Stay informed about cutting-edge practices in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a
Speech Language Pathologist . Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment. Skills
