Overview
Iron-IQ is seeking a
UI/UX and Data Visualization Specialist
to create
animated, data-driven process graphics
that bring industrial systems to life. Using
SVG graphics, animations, and real-time SCADA integrations , youll design intuitive visualizations of well pads, gas processing facilities, and other assets. This role goes beyond static graphics: you will be responsible for
integrating visuals with live data sources , writing the
logic and queries
needed to select the correct data points out of thousands available, and ensuring that each element of a visualization reflects real-world conditions in real time. Responsibilities Design
SVG-based graphics and animations
representing complex industrial processes. Integrate graphics with
real-time SCADA data feeds , binding visuals to the correct data points. Develop
logical queries and mapping rules
to select and surface the most relevant values from large datasets. Build
templated process graphics
that allow for rapid iteration and reuse across deployments. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design
functional, scalable, and accurate
visualizations. Support customer-facing visuals (brochures, documentation, dashboards) while keeping a primary focus on
live, intelligent process graphics .
Qualifications
Portfolio showing
interactive graphics, animations, or data-driven visualizations . Proficiency with
SVG frameworks and animation tools
(e.g., SVG.js, D3.js, GreenSock/GSAP). Hands-on experience with
data querying
(SQL or equivalent) and mapping logic to tie datasets to visuals. Understanding of
data modeling and visualization principles : clarity, hierarchy, interactivity, storytelling. Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, QuickSight, Tableau) a plus. Bonus: Experience with
SCADA systems, IoT data, or industrial process visualization .
