POSITION SUMMARY The Digital Marketing Specialist is a remote position and an integral member of the Boston Architectural College's (BAC) Marketing and Communications team-a small, collaborative, and creative group responsible for promoting the College's brand, programs, and mission.
This position is well-suited for a marketing professional with 2 to 3 years of experience who brings creativity, initiative, and strong digital instincts. The specialist will contribute to the planning and execution of digital marketing strategies and social media campaigns that engage and grow the College's audiences-including prospective students, current students, alumni, and the professional community. The role also supports broader communications efforts, including content planning, storytelling, and newsletter development.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer, visual storyteller, and strategic thinker who is excited to shape the BAC's online presence and help amplify the voice of the institution across digital channels.
Must have mode of transportation and ability to visit campus as needed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to develop and implement a comprehensive digital content strategy and calendar across all official College communication channels, aligned with recruitment, engagement, and branding goals.
Lead day-to-day social media planning, content creation, and scheduling across X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
Create and manage digital marketing campaigns that promote College programs, events, initiatives, and community stories-driving awareness, engagement, and conversion.
Support the creation and distribution of institutional newsletters, including the BAC Buzz E-Zine, and collaborate with other departments (e.g., Academic Affairs, Institutional Advancement) to coordinate communications.
Collaborate with the BAC's Social Media Fellow, guiding content strategy, tone, scheduling, and engagement best practices.
Partner with the Senior Web Marketing Specialist to ensure that website content is accurate, engaging, and consistent with branding and editorial guidelines.
Monitor performance analytics across social and digital platforms, using data to optimize content and report on effectiveness.
Assist with content development for internal announcements, institutional updates, and general communications as needed.
Provide support across the College for marketing needs related to events, campaigns, and special initiatives.
Occasionally work evening or weekend hours to support major events, campaigns, or live social media coverage.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
EDUCATION Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, or a related field is required.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS 2 to 3 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, content strategy, or related roles; experience in higher education or nonprofit environments is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to create engaging, on-brand content across multiple digital platforms.
Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills with attention to detail and tone.
Working knowledge of social media best practices, trends, tools, and metrics.
Experience using email marketing platforms (e.g., Campaign Monitor, Mailchimp).
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn College-specific systems and tools.
