Overview
Animation Production Coordinator, Walt Disney Pictures Productions. Base pay range: $52,300.00/yr - $67,600.00/yr. Location: Los Angeles, CA.
Walt Disney Pictures is seeking an Animation Production Coordinator to support the animation production office coordination throughout the lifecycle of feature animation production. The team is looking for 2 coordinators: 1 Full-time Regular and 1 Project Hire with an anticipated ending of September 2027. This role reports to the Animation Production Executive.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with and assist the Animation Production Executive to coordinate on assigned films from pre-production through the wrap of production.
- Set up Studio policies and procedure manuals for films supervised by the Animation Production Executive.
- Manage materials including maintaining lists and contracts, researching information, compiling, archiving, sending and securing files.
- Work directly with production vendors to secure day-to-day updates during setup and production.
- Schedule appointments and take meeting minutes when appropriate.
- Arrange voice record studio holds, schedule talent, obtain talent paperwork prior to recording, arrange studio teacher when applicable, create sides for voice records, and distribute schedule and sides to artists and internal teams.
- Facilitate script, design and cut clearance with the clearance department.
- Address filmmaker and collaborator’s technical issues as they arise.
- Arrange travel as needed and process expense reports.
- Occasional script analysis (breakdown sets, cast & location) and support for special projects as needed.
- Miscellaneous departmental duties and ad-hoc projects for marketing, casting, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years’ experience in Animation, Production or Post-Production.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly.
- Detail-oriented with professionalism and service orientation under pressure.
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills; ability to keep supervisor informed on task status.
- Excellent administrative skills (phones, calendar, contacts, etc.).
- Ability to resolve routine issues and escalate complex issues to management.
- Ability to work with highly confidential material and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a Creative Development department is a plus.
- Proficiency in Airtable, Box, PIX, IMB Aspera on Cloud, Scenechronize, SyncSketch.
