Base pay range: $65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Position Summary: What you’ll do.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, recognizing performance, promoting a belonging mindset, and recruiting and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals; building accountability and measuring progress; identifying improvement opportunities; and promoting continuous learning.
  • Lead and develop teams by teaching and training; touring stores to observe and provide feedback; collaborating with all levels of associates on store operations, technology, merchandising, and company direction; leading change efforts; providing clear guidance to implement business solutions; and communicating objectives effectively to teams.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model; supporting customer service initiatives; resolving customer needs and issues; developing action plans to address deficiencies; and leading process improvements for a high-quality customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ethics; support the company mission and values; apply Open Door Policy in daily operations and business processes.
  • Drive financial performance by reviewing P&L statements; assisting with budgeting and forecasting; controlling expenses; managing merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes; and mitigating shrink to achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Foster a respectful, inclusive workplace; promote teamwork; and demonstrate integrity by upholding Walmart values and focusing on the impact of decisions on associates, customers, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications: 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required.
  • For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
  • Preferred qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; experience supervising 5+ direct reports with responsibilities including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
