Job Summary: Executes the process of sending and receiving digital studies (including, but not limited to: Mammography, CT, MRI, X-ray, Nuclear Medicine, PET-CT, Ultrasound and Bone Density). Responsible for handling and transferring electronic files, CDs, and documents retrieved from internal and external health care facilities, including the centralized film library as requested by KFHPW radiologists and/or the patient’s physician.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for processing and exchanging digital imaging studies and related electronic files in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage transferring electronic files, CDs, and documents between internal and external health care facilities and the centralized film library as requested by radiologists or physicians.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in hospital, medical office, or clinic setting.
  • Per the National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.

Education

  • High School Diploma OR GED required.

License, Certification, Registration

  • N/A

Additional Requirements

  • Advanced PC experience in an MS Windows environment, 10-key and keyboard skills (min 35 wpm).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic medical terminology.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Associates degree.
