Job Summary:
We are seeking an Audio Visual Live Event Engineer to support in-person, virtual, and hybrid events. The role involves end-to-end event execution including planning, operations, troubleshooting, and post-production. This position requires strong technical skills, vendor coordination, and the ability to deliver seamless event experiences while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage, schedule, and operate live events in collaboration with AV Program Managers.
Facilitate key A/V meetings, live streams, and hybrid events.
Guide cross-functional teams on best practices for event execution.
Oversee post-production activities such as editing, distribution, cataloging, and archiving.
Own and grow the company’s Audio Visual Events Program.
Manage stage crews, vendors, rentals, and event logistics.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot streaming platforms, live event systems, and meeting systems.
Pull, manage, and terminate cables, as well as maintain AV racks and equipment.
Work independently to resolve technical issues and escalate as needed.
Provide technical leadership in root cause analysis and permanent solutions.
Coordinate scheduling for event operations team members.
Required Experience:
Proven experience in Audio Visual event engineering and live event support.
Strong background in AV troubleshooting, configuration, and systems integration.
Experience managing vendors, rentals, and stage crews.
Hands-on experience with live streaming platforms and post-production workflows.
Ability to work onsite full-time in Newark, NJ.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Prior experience in hybrid or large-scale event management.
Familiarity with event scheduling tools and case management systems.
Knowledge of video editing and archiving best practices.
