Summary

The Executive Producer is part of the larger Studio Blue team of producers, creatives, coordinators that partner with our internal and external partners in A/V, design and build, and logistics. Responsibilities include establishing program best practices and efficient workflow for our Internal (and external) cross-functional teams, partners and clients. The position is responsible for supporting the opportunity engagement process, from proposals and RFP’s through reconciliation, including creating and managing associated budgets on assigned programs.

This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of any of the following locations:

  • Dallas, TX
  • Las Vegas, NV
  • Orlando, FL

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive overall program operations, budget, and workflow.
  • Develop, manage, and grow senior level relationships with clients that position Studio Blue as a strategic advisor and partner.
  • Oversee producers, internal and external direct reports, and teams from beginning to end of the program life cycle.
  • Leverage deep industry connections in the US and internationally to source and manage resources across live event activations, including general sessions, breakouts, launches, press events, consumer activations, live performances, entertainment, special events, and galas.
  • Oversee multimillion-dollar client relationships with responsibility for budget and profit management, focusing on team structure, staffing, client satisfaction, prioritization of deliverables, and ensuring quality.
  • Develop an engagement strategy and work with the team and workstream leads to execute, involving and engaging people where needed for project success and account utilization (goals, deliverables, schedule, budget, resources).
  • Manage program budget profitability by partnering with sales to create budget estimates and negotiate statements of work; ensure work is delivered on budget and POs are issued per terms; account internal and third-party costs.
  • Participate in strategic development of new business.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on Studio Blue’s methodology and operational/production management practices.
  • Advocate social engagement to reinforce brand presence and personal expertise.
  • Participate in developing and implementing the divisions strategic plan, ensuring operational leadership and adherence.
  • Travel to site visits, meetings and event show sites to meet with teams.
  • Maximize efficiency and optimize workflow, production, and operations using internal and partner resources.
  • Develop and implement programs across functional groups and multiple agencies, including leading team meetings, tracking timelines and project logs, and managing content (theme/messaging, speaker support, video, interactive, web/social, mobile apps, live performance, demos, speaker management, digital activations).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience required.
  • 8 to 10 years’ experience in the agency and production space, specializing in creative and strategy, multi-dimensional design, program development, and execution for Fortune 500 clients.
  • Significant experience managing all aspects of live events, including AV for entertainment and live show production, graphics, event flow, digital activations and platforms, IT implementation, video production, content production and management; strong knowledge of event logistics, registration, F&B, venue sourcing, transportation, and related activities.
  • Extensive General Session Executive Producer experience (minimum 5 years) including selecting and hiring lead positions and understanding technical processes for on-site General Sessions.
  • Experience with diverse project types including live events, consumer marketing, web, mobile, video, brand, and strategic consulting.
  • Experience managing programs and budgets in excess of 1-2 million+.
  • Ability to translate creative concepts into real-life brand experiences and define solutions that generate measurable client results.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written skills.
  • Ability to think quickly under pressure and motivate the team to deliver excellent results.
  • Proven success managing million-dollar accounts with diplomacy and tact.
  • Agile and creative mindset with refined aesthetic sensibilities; proven leadership, team-building, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, especially in contract negotiations.
