Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 7,500 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs. Located in a rural setting in Kutztown, PA, the University is near Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and about an hour from the Philadelphia metro area. Position Details

The Department of Art & Design in the College of Visual & Performing Arts invites applications for part-time adjunct positions in Animated Arts and related fields. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth; and service. Course load will be taught primarily in-person. If online teaching is offered, completion of the Teaching Online Certification Course offered through Kutztown University is required. We seek applicants committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive community of faculty, staff, and students in the Department of Art & Design and across the university.

Courses

Courses requiring coverage include (but are not limited to): undergraduate courses in 3D Modeling, 2D Digital Animation, 3D Animation, Visual Development (Storyboarding/Character Design/Concept Art), and related courses.

Minimum Qualifications

Requirements: A MA or MFA degree in Animated Arts or a related area. A strong professional portfolio of personal and student artwork. Successful interview and demonstration of proficiency and ability to teach related software. Teaching experience of at least one year or equivalent professional experience in the animation field is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience of at least one year or job experience in the given field.
