Overview

Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Technician — Location: Office of Naval Intelligence, Suitland, MD. Security Clearance: Active DoD Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI).

Position Overview

As a full-time Video Teleconference (VTC) Technician with Leidos, you will provide on-site video teleconferencing production, design, and engineering; scheduling, installation, maintenance, and related operational support services. You will support VTC suites within NMIC and affiliated commands, including those operating on JWICS, Legacy ISDN technologies, and/or IP-based networks. Work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with experts to ensure optimal performance and security for our VTC infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• On-site video teleconferencing production, design, and engineering for room/studio and desktop VTC services residing on JWICS.
• Scheduling, installation, maintenance, and related operational support services for VTC systems.
• Execute the design, engineering, installation, configuration, accreditation, and scheduling of VTC systems.
• Maintain inventory accountability of all VTC assets.
• Monitor ONI's trouble-ticket system to address operational viability of all VTC units.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of experience.
• Active IAT Level II DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or the ability to obtain within 30 days from offer acceptance.
• Active DoD Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance.
• 3 years of experience with A/V system implementation and support.
• 5 years of hands-on technical support of video telecommunications technologies.
• Experience with AV control systems (e.g., AMX, Crestron, Extron) and basic networking.
• Hands-on experience providing point-to-point and multi-point VTC capabilities.
• Cable fabrication experience (e.g., Cat6, XLR, 3.5mm, DB-9, TRRS).
• Exceptional customer service skills, especially for VIP clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Visio, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, crawl, and walk long distances.
