Overview CJ ENM America is looking for an experienced and hands-on Director, Music Business to join our team. The Director will focus on overseeing and leading production project management, operations, financial budgets and manage junior team members to elevate CJ ENM America’s virtual/live events and experiences. This role reports to the VP, Music Business and works closely with headquarters in South Korea. Position Details Position Title : Director, Music Business Compensation Range : $90,000 - $120,000 per year FLSA : Exempt Location : Los Angeles, CA (on-site) Company Overview : CJ ENM (Entertainment & Media) is a leader in entertainment and commerce in Asia, and a top premium content powerhouse in Korea, with a growing global footprint. CJ ENM operates across multiple entertainment sectors including content, music and live experiences, with key segments in Media Platform, TV/Film, music, and commerce. CJ ENM also operates KCON, a large Korean pop culture fan convention and concert series. Responsibilities Oversee internal event team and event support team. Collaborate with HQ teams in Korea to plan and negotiate business initiatives, acting as the primary liaison for local operations. Drive and execute new business strategies, partnering interdepartmentally to bring new ideas to life. Lead on-site execution from load-in to load-out at events. Manage the full scope of event management from ideation through post-reconciliation. Oversee project tools and schedules (vendor lists, production schedules, timelines, COIs, etc.). Generate and manage budgets and P&L for events and business ventures. Vendor management, sourcing, negotiation and coordination. Oversee creation of event collateral, decks and presentations. As needed, build the onsite support team (interns, contractors). Handle venue/permit procurement and contract negotiations. Manage other duties as assigned. Experience & Skills 10+ years of demonstrated experience in related fields. Entrepreneurial business and commercial mindset. Bilingual in Korean and English required. Experience producing large-scale events, experiential or live entertainment productions (conventions, festivals, premieres, concerts, etc.). Experience with hospitality, F&B, ticketing, etc. Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume production environments. Understanding of permitting standards (including TPA, Special Event, Fire, Health & Safety). Corporate experience or knowledge of corporate structure. Agency experience and/or international parent company experience preferred. Team management experience with successful production of high-profile, large-scale events. Experience using social media platforms. MS Office, Google Suite, Asana, Slack, Kakao; familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, etc. #J-18808-Ljbffr
