As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have flexible scheduling, the ability to tutor remotely, and tools to support your sessions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality AP English Literature and Composition tutoring to online students.
• Personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Set your own hours and work as much as you’d like.
• Invoice for your tutoring sessions and manage payments with Varsity Tutors.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in AP English Literature and Composition and ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Prior tutoring/teaching experience and graduate-level education preferred.

Benefits and How It Works

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and can increase for specialized subjects, with potential to earn up to $40/hour with repeated sessions with the same student.
• Get paid up to twice per week for completed tutoring sessions.
