Responsibilities
- Develop and Deliver High-Quality Media Assets. Create photos, graphics, videos, audio recordings, and other digital media assets that directly support YES curriculum materials, professional learning resources, and marketing and sales initiatives—delivering content that meets project deadlines and quality standards.
- Collaborate Effectively Across Teams. Work closely with curriculum developers, professional learning staff, and sales and marketing colleagues through an iterative development process to translate their needs into engaging media content—ensuring final products enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Uphold and Shape Visual Brand Guidelines. Help refine and consistently apply visual brand standards across all media formats—helping the organization maintain a cohesive and professional identity while adapting guidelines for new use cases.
- Manage Classroom Media Production. Plan and conduct video and photo shoots in preschool, elementary, and middle school classrooms and enrichment spaces in the United States, capturing authentic learning moments. Secure and manage permissions from educators, parents, schools, and participants to ensure compliance and ethical representation. Travel to collect footage.
- Execute Full-Cycle Media Production. Independently manage the production pipeline—including planning, capturing, editing, and final delivery of multimedia content—while learning and applying new technical skills across unfamiliar platforms as project needs evolve. This includes coordinating schedules across teams and creating systems for the encoding, archiving, and distribution of digital media files, ensuring historical documentation and proper organization of Museum assets.
- Provide Leadership Through Craft and Initiative. Take ownership of the digital media function by setting efficient workflows, maintaining equipment, recommending tools or practices, and mentoring colleagues on effective media use. Demonstrate both leadership potential and hands-on execution to advance the project's overall success.
Qualifications
- Experience in Video Production: Proven experience in video production, including camera operation, lighting, and audio recording. Experience or strong interest in creating other forms of media (photographs, graphs).
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and evidence of ability to become facile with new digital platforms and programs.
- Content Development Skills: Ability to work with a team to conceptualize, collect, and edit media assets that align with and enhance product goals.
- Project and Asset Management: Strong organizational skills to oversee media asset collection, archiving, file management, and workflow optimization.
- Curiosity and Learning: Curiosity about the complexity of our organization and work. Willingness to listen and continually learn from the team and the audiences we serve.
- Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work with stakeholders across departments in the organization and with collaborators external to the organization to bring creative ideas to life while aligning with Museum-wide digital/social strategies.

- Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Comfortable working in dynamic environments and troubleshooting technical challenges.

Salary Range
$76,000—$95,000 USD
