Music & Youth Assistant (Part-Time) - Eastside Branch

Overview
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is accepting applications for a Music & Youth Assistant. The role, under the supervision of the Coordinator/Director, focuses on leadership; music clubhouse operations and programming; administrative compliance; and facility and child safety. The Music & Youth program provides instruments and staffing for free music lessons (drums, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, keyboard) and opportunities to record and produce music, form garage bands, and mentor teen participants to build self-confidence through performance and recording in the studio. The Club Experience serves over 31,000 youth annually by offering a safe, positive environment with opportunities to build academic success, healthy lifestyles, good character, and workforce readiness.
Responsibilities
- Support leadership and supervision within the music clubhouse.
- Operate and program music activities and related youth programming.
- Ensure administrative compliance and maintain a safe facility for youth.
- Mentor teen participants using music expertise; help them learn to play instruments, perform, and record music.

Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Work Experience: Minimum 6 months experience working with youth
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to work regular program hours and summer hours
- Ability to be a positive role model; establish rapport and build relationships
- Ability to relate to at-risk youth
- Proficiency in at least one musical instrument
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Must pass required background and drug screens
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance; minimum age 21; may require driving company/personal vehicle
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of audio editing, audio engineering, and recording
- Ability to teach music lessons
- Bilingual
- Work experience or knowledge of the Boys & Girls Club Movement is advantageous
Pay & Benefits
- Pay: $18.00 per hour
- Benefits: Eligible for Paid Time Off (PTO) and holiday pay
