Audio Mechanical Design Engineer – Sunnyvale, CA or Seattle, WA

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the design of micro-plastic mechanical solutions for speaker modules, integrating acoustic meshes and insert-molded steel plates.
• Develop, prototype, and test mechanical solutions to ensure exceptional acoustic performance .
• Collaborate across teams from concept to mass production , ensuring your designs are manufacturable and optimized for high-volume production.
• Work closely with external vendors and partners to innovate and refine mechanical and acoustic solutions.
• Stay at the forefront of mechanical design technology , driving new approaches in audio engineering.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in mechanical design of micro-speakers or audio devices , preferably in high-volume consumer electronics.
• Strong skills in CAD (NX or SolidWorks), GD&T, DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis , and prototyping.
• Experience with materials (plastics, metals, adhesives, glass) and manufacturing processes (injection molding, stamping, machining).
• Knowledge of DOE, mold flow analysis, and mechanical validation methods.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams and vendors , including in Asia.
